Rosetta A. McCall, age 77 of Riverside, RI passed from this life into eternal life on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, R.I. She was born on August 1, 1942 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Paul T. Bradley and Lily L. Black Bradley.
She attended Slater School in Bristol Tennessee and was a cheerleader when she met the man that would become the father of her four children, her best friend and the husband that she would spend the rest of this life with. They were united in marriage on November 7, 1961 in Akron, Ohio before returning to Tennessee to take care of her mother who eventually passed away.
At the young age of 20 years old she took on the responsibility of raising her four siblings and eventually taking care of her father and for this we are forever grateful. She then moved to Akron Ohio where she worked as a computer operator for the B.F. Goodrich Company as well as Kent State University for many years.
After the passing of her father and once her siblings were grown, she along with her 4 children and her younger brother David, relocated to Providence R.I. She was employed at Roger Williams Hospital, Collier Wire, and she was employed at Brown University Medical School as a patient.
Rosetta loved her church family and was a faithful member at Bethel A.M.E. Church where she was a member of the choir. She always talked about how God was always there for her and her favorite song was "He's an On Time God". She also served as a Missionary and Steward.
Rosetta also loved bowling. For many years, she bowled for Cranston Bowling league and most recently the Saturday Outlaws. She also served as Secretary/Treasurer for the State of Rhode Island Women Bowling Association.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband Danny Sr., two daughters, Denise McCall of Hiram, GA, Dr. Renee McCall of Dumfries, VA, One sister, Reverend Loretta (Reverend Layman) Davis of PA, and one brother, David (Louann) Bradley of R.I. She had 8 grandchildren, Brandon (Jodie) McCall of N.C., Kailah (Michael) Sneed of GA, Shayla McCall & Tiona Slack, VA, Eric Populus, Darrell LaFrance, Amanda Populus & Felicia (Shawn) Medeiros of R.I. 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Rosetta will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Everett (Teddy) McCall, Danny McCall Jr, her parents, Paul and Lily Bradley, two brothers, Charles and Stanley Bradley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Home Going Celebration on Saturday, June 27th from 11:00am - 2:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln. Burial is private.
